Audimax-TL 28.3 is a three-way floor-standing loudspeaker. Audimax-TL 28.3 is a transmission line loudspeaker with chassis from SB Acoustics, SEAS and Visaton. Our kit contains the following loudspeakers: - a tweeter SB Acoustics TW29BN - a midrange Hobby-HiFi woofer 18MW12T (produced by SEAS) - a woofer Visaton TIW 250 XS 8 Ohm The loudspeaker was developed by Bernd Timmermanns. The crossover consists of: - a 3rd order high pass (18 dB / octave) for the tweeter. - a band pass consisting of a 2nd order high pass (12 dB / octave) and a 2nd order low pass (12 dB / octave) for the mid-woofer. - a 2nd order low pass (12 dB / octave) for the woofer. The frequency response of the loudspeaker is perfectly linear. The decay spectrum (waterfall diagram) is exemplary without any disturbing resonance. The non-linear distortions remain almost consistently below 0.4% at 90 dB (1m) above 100 Hz.

The high-end kit is equipped with copper foil coils or baked enamel coils in the important places to reduce the microphonic effect (the current through the coil generates a magnetic field, which in turn sets the winding in motion. This movement induces voltages in the coil, which are added to the useful signal. The tighter the winding of the coil, the less the useful signal is distorted.) The capacitors for the tweeter - where quality is particularly important - are high-quality Mundorf Mcap Supreme EVO oil with 800 V.
