Pareto is a floor-standing loudspeaker that uses Seas chassis. To keep the price of the 3-way speaker affordable, Bernd Timmermanns chose a slightly higher crossover frequency between the speakers. This makes the crossover components for the woofer and midrange speaker (coil, capacitor) cheaper. Due to the higher crossover frequency, the midrange speaker has to produce less bass: a smaller chassis can therefore be used. Since the two woofers connected in parallel would be too loud compared to the midrange speaker, the woofers were connected in series.

Instead of the 600 V - Q6 capacitors recommended in the Hobby HiFi magazine, which only have a slightly higher voltage rating than the standard version, we offer Jantzen Z-CAPs in our high-end kit. As recommended by Hobby HiFi, the coils are baked enamel coils with a diameter of 1.0 mm. A large I-core coil is used in series with the woofers; for the electrolytic capacitors, we supply components with a voltage rating of 70Vdc.
