Kit with high-end crossover without housing, price per speaker

Celeste (Italian for heavenly) was derived from the name of the chassis manufacturer "Celestion". The kit developed by Bernd Timmermanns contains a Celestion bass driver, which performed excellently in the chassis test. A Celestion CDX1-1430 tweeter with Monacor horn is used as an accompaniment. These loudspeaker chassis, developed for professional sound systems (PA), then show a high efficiency of 92 dB (2.83V, 1m) in this loudspeaker box. They are fully HiFi-compatible and show an exemplary flat frequency response on axis. If you want a higher efficiency, then Celeste Satellite is available. Bernd Timmermanns uses a 2nd order crossover (12 dB/octave slope) in the loudspeaker box. A suction circuit parallel to the loudspeakers suppresses unwanted exaggerations. The decay spectrum is low in resonance, the frequency response on axis is, as described above, perfectly flat and ranges from approx. 45 to 20,000 Hz (-8 dB) The loudspeaker box is constructed as a 90-liter bass reflex box, with the two bass reflex openings at the bottom radiating diagonally towards the floor.

In the high-end version proposed by Hobby Hifi, coils with baked enamel wire are used instead of coils made of conventional, enamel-insulated wire. MKP capacitors with a 630V limit voltage are used as capacitors. With this kit you get high-quality ClarityCap capacitors of the SA type. The electrolytic capacitor remains unchanged. For the wiring we supply Inakustik Premium LS Silver cables.
