Athena is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker with very low distortion. Athena is a bass reflex loudspeaker with chassis from Audaphon and Wavecor. The loudspeaker contains the following chassis: - an air motion transformer (ribbon tweeter) Audaphon AMT 1i - a midrange speaker Wavecor WF182CU13 - a woofer Wavecor WF223BD01 The loudspeaker was developed by David Hahn. The crossover consists of: - a 2nd order high pass (12 dB / octave) for the tweeter. - a band pass consisting of a 2nd order high pass (12 dB / octave) and a 3rd order low pass (18 dB / octave) for the mid-woofer. - a 2nd order low pass (12 dB / octave) for the woofer. The frequency response of the loudspeaker is perfectly linear. The decay spectrum (waterfall diagram) is exemplary without any disturbing resonance. The non-linear distortions at low volumes (85 dB, 1 m) are below 0.6% above 300 Hz and remain below 0.6% in the audible range even at higher levels (95 dB, 1 m). At 85 dB, the non-linear distortions above 700 Hz remain almost consistently below 0.1%

The high-end kit is equipped with baked varnish coils in the important places to reduce the microphonic effect (the current through the coil generates a magnetic field, which in turn sets the winding in motion. This movement induces voltages in the coil, which are added to the useful signal. The tighter the winding of the coil, the less the useful signal is distorted.) The capacitors for the Audaphon AMT 1i - where quality is particularly important - are high-quality ClarityCap CSA capacitors with 630 V.
